Manufacturing Engineer - Injection Molding

As the Manufacturing Engineer - Injection molding, you will be the Subject Matter Expert responsible for providing technical expertise for injection molding processes, establish and maintain processes to ensure production of parts meets or exceeds company and customer specifications.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree (preferred)

3+ years of scientific injection molding and assembly experience

Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills including defining and documentation

Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing, facility planning and line balancing

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written

Proven ability to work with all levels of associates

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite


Ensure compliance with safety, regulation and quality standards

Establish and maintain production processes to ensure company & customer specifications are met

Interface with Corporate Tooling Engineering and Purchasing on the construction of new tools and secondary operation of equipment

Implement and start up equipment / systems

injection molding machines, assembly stations

support troubleshooting at IMM

Lead continuous improvement throughout department

Review OEE, scrap and productivity reports and implement strategies to maximize results

Manage changeover workshops to improve mold change time and throughput

Diagnose faults and specify countermeasure

Propose technical solutions to problems, coordinate with customers and departments

Connection to the technical infrastructure of existing systems, the execution of the initial operation, test of functions, tuning and optimization

Interface with Job Setters and Toolmakers to ensure daily operations

Evaluate equipment and ensure the equipment is properly serviced as per contracts. In situations where equipment/systems are damaged, determine the cause and take the appropriate actions for repair and resolution
